Santi Vittore e Carlo

Santi Vittore e Carlo is a Baroque church located on Via Balbi in Genoa with elaborate marble decorations and skillfully carved wooden sculptures throughout. The interior houses artworks spanning the 17th and 18th centuries distributed across different areas of the worship space.

Architect Bartolomeo Bianco designed this church in 1629 for the Discalced Carmelite Order, a reformed branch of the Carmelite community. The facade underwent significant reworking by Eugenio Durazzo in 1743, establishing the appearance that remains today.

The church is dedicated to two Italian saints and displays works by prominent sculptors such as Alessandro Algardi and Filippo Parodi on its walls. The space functions as a gallery where religious devotion and artistic craftsmanship come together visibly.
