Duomo di Desenzano del Garda

The cathedral features three naves with a central barrel vault and contains numerous marble columns arranged in Doric architectural style throughout its interior space.

Construction of the cathedral began in 1586 under architect Giulio Todeschini, replacing an earlier church from 1145 mentioned in Pope Eugene III's papal bull.

The cathedral houses significant artworks including a 15th-century wooden Mary Magdalene statue and Tiepolo's Last Supper painting in the Sacrament chapel.

The cathedral opens daily from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM during summer months and closes at 6:00 PM in winter, with contact available at +39 030 374 8726.

The main altar displays an intricate Resurrection of Lazarus scene created with polychrome marble inlays depicting Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and other biblical figures.
