Torri Di Vittorio, Residential palace in Pietra Alta district, Turin, Italy.
Torri Di Vittorio is a residential complex made up of two adjacent towers, each with 21 floors. The pair of buildings stands out in the district's skyline and occupies a corner location near several main roads.
The two residential towers were built in 1980 by the Giuseppe Di Vittorio Cooperative following a commission from Turin's municipal government. They were part of a broader effort to create housing for the city's growing population at that time.
The towers emerged from Turin's expansion in the 1980s when the city needed housing for newcomers from southern Italy. They remain a visible part of how the district developed during this period of urban change.
The complex sits at the intersection of major roads and is easily accessible by public transport. Since this is a residential building, interior visits are not possible, but the exterior view is clear from street level.
During the 2006 Winter Olympics, the towers were lit up each evening in yellow and blue, the colors of Turin's city flag. This special illumination made them a recognizable feature of the cityscape during the sporting event.
