Isehara, Residential city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan
Located in the center of Kanagawa Prefecture, Isehara extends across 55.56 square kilometers, with one-third of its territory consisting of forest areas.
The area transformed from agricultural lands during the Kamakura period to become Isehara Town in 1889, and received city status in 1971.
Mount Oyama, rising 1,252 meters within Tanzawa-Oyama Quasi-National Park, represents a centuries-old spiritual center for Japanese religious practices.
The city connects to Tokyo through the Odakyu Electric Railway, offering a 40-minute commute to Shinjuku Station and hosting manufacturing facilities.
The population density reaches 1,800 persons per square kilometer, balancing urban development with extensive natural forest preservation.
