Oshamambe Station, Railway station in Oshamambe, Japan
Oshamambe Station is a railway facility in Hokkaido with two island platforms and four tracks accommodating both express and regional trains. The layout allows passengers to board services heading to destinations across the prefecture.
The station was established on November 3, 1903, and became a key point on the JR Hakodate Main Line connecting Hakodate and Onuma. Its location has allowed it to serve as a transit crossroads in the region for more than a century.
The station serves as a transit hub that links the town with surrounding communities and regional destinations. It functions as a practical meeting point where locals and visitors connect to educational facilities and neighboring areas.
Multiple bus routes operate from the station, including services to neighboring towns like Imakane and Setana through Hakodate Bus, and connections to Kuromatsunai via Niseko Bus. These connections make it easy to reach surrounding communities from the train platform.
The station will become part of the Hokkaido Shinkansen network connecting Shin-Yakumo to Kutchan, with high-speed rail service set to launch in 2031. This addition will significantly reduce travel times for passengers moving through the region.
