Nagaokakyo

Nagaokakyō spans 19.17 square kilometers between Kyoto and Osaka, with residential areas covering sixty percent of its territory and mountains in the west region.

The city received its name from the former capital of Japan, Nagaoka-kyō, which served as the imperial seat from 784 to 794 under Emperor Kanmu.

The November Garasha Festival brings residents together to commemorate local traditions through performances, crafts displays, and food demonstrations at multiple venues.

Transportation networks include Hankyu Railways in the central area, JR Kyoto Line in the east, and direct connections to major expressways through Oyamazaki Junction.
