Kinshichō Station, Railway and metro interchange station in Sumida, Japan

Kinshichō Station is a railway and metro interchange serving the Sōbu Line, Chūō-Sōbu Line, and Hanzōmon Line across multiple levels. The complex handles over 190,000 passengers daily through its integrated platforms and access points.

The railway station began operations in 1894, while the Tokyo Metro section opened in 2003 to significantly expand transportation connections. This late addition integrated two formerly separate transit systems at this junction.

The northern exit leads to modern retail centers like Arcakit and Termina, while the southern area preserves traditional Japanese dining establishments and local markets.

The station has multiple exits reaching different neighborhoods and shopping areas, with clear signage throughout the complex. Allow extra time to transfer between lines since the interchange points are spread across several levels.

A metallic sculpture called Echo stands near the north exit taxi rank, featuring inscriptions of musicians. This artwork connects the station's transit function with the musical heritage of the area.
