Mihara Station, Railway station in Mihara, Japan

Mihara Station is an elevated railway hub with four platforms that serve different train types on the San'yō corridor. Two side platforms handle high-speed Shinkansen trains while two island platforms accommodate conventional regional services.

The station opened in 1894 and became key infrastructure during Japan's industrial boom. It was later redesigned to accommodate the Shinkansen high-speed line, cementing its role as a major transport junction.

The station building represents the evolution of Japanese railway architecture, combining traditional design elements with modern infrastructure requirements.

The station is easily reached by car or local buses with stops at the terminal area. Visitors should arrive early to allow time for orientation and purchasing tickets at the various counters.

The station marks a crossing point where high-speed and conventional rail networks meet, allowing passengers to switch between service types. This transfer point makes it strategically important for travelers moving through the region.
