Pacifico Yokohama is a convention complex on the Minato Mirai waterfront, made of joined halls and a hotel. Its curved sail-like tower is clad in white panels with a grid of small windows, while the exhibition hall's white roof forms rows of triangles meant to suggest waves. The National Convention Hall seats about 5,000 and its exterior is modelled on a bivalve shell.

The Conference Center and the Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel opened on 29 July 1991, followed by the Exhibition Hall on 12 October 1991. The National Convention Hall of Yokohama was completed on 25 April 1994. In 2001 the Exhibition Hall was expanded to serve as the main press centre for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and Pacifico Yokohama North opened on 24 April 2020.

The name Pacifico combines "Pacific" and "Convention"; the official Japanese name, Yokohama Kokusai Heiwa Kaigijo, means Yokohama International Peace Conference Center. The complex hosts the Japan offices of ITTO, WFP, FAO and IFAD. Its four original buildings each take a sea motif: light for the Conference Center, sail for the hotel, wave for the Exhibition Hall and shell for the National Convention Hall.

The center is easily accessible by public transportation and well-connected to the surrounding area. Clear signage throughout the venue helps visitors navigate the different halls and facilities.

The complex's name is a portmanteau of "Pacific" and "Convention". Its four original sections each have a nautical theme: the Conference Center represents light, the hotel a sail, the Exhibition Hall waves, and the National Convention Hall a shell. The Exhibition Hall's white roof is formed of repeating triangles.
