Hokkaidō-Iryōdaigaku Station, Railway station in Tobetsu, Japan
Hokkaidō-Iryōdaigaku Station is a railway station in Tobetsu with two staggered side platforms serving two tracks. The facility functions as the northern terminus of the Sasshō Line, connecting travelers daily between Sapporo and the surrounding region.
The station originally opened in 1982 under the name Daigakumae before being renamed after the university it serves directly. In 2012, the railway line extending to this station underwent electrification.
The station maintains strong connections with the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido through a direct overpass, supporting the educational infrastructure of the Ishikari District.
The station has automated ticket machines and card readers for travelers commuting between Sapporo and Tobetsu. Visitors can easily board and exit here since the platforms are well-organized and trains run regularly throughout the day.
The station was long connected to a non-electrified branch that linked to Shin-Totsukawa until its closure in 2020. After that line ended, this location became the final stop of the modernized system.
