Rokkōmichi Station, Railway station in Nada-ku, Kobe, Japan
Rokkōmichi Station is an elevated railway stop on the Tōkaidō Main Line with two island platforms and a station building beneath them. The facility has four tracks serving different train services that reach many destinations throughout the region.
The station opened in 1934 as a junction on the Tōkaidō Main Line serving the growing area. The 1995 Great Hanshin earthquake caused major damage, but the facility was fully rebuilt and restored.
The station serves travelers heading to schools and universities nearby, including Kobe University. People use it daily to reach educational facilities and local neighborhoods in the Nada district.
The station has clear signage and an information office for ticket purchases and travel details. Stairs and elevators provide access to the platforms, making it easy to navigate the facility.
The station employs a dual-track system where outer lines are reserved for express trains during off-peak times. This arrangement helps manage passenger flow during rush hours and keeps regular service moving smoothly.
