Kampong Thom Province

Kampong Thom Province extends across 15,061 square kilometers of land, featuring numerous rivers, lakes, forests, and mountains throughout its eight administrative districts.

Following its establishment in 1907, the province emerged as a significant administrative center during French colonial rule, transforming from its earlier name Kampong Pos Thom.

The province maintains over 200 ancient temples within its boundaries, reflecting the architectural legacy of the Khmer Empire through structures like Sambor Prei Kuk.

Located midway between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap on National Highway 6, the province offers multiple transportation options for accessing its various districts.

The province ranks as Cambodia's second-largest administrative region and stands as one of the country's primary producers of cashew nuts and fish.
