Seonjeongneung, Royal tomb complex in Gangnam District, South Korea
Seonjeongneung contains two distinct burial areas with stone statues of officials, animals, and military figures standing guard at the entrance points.
The burial ground holds the remains of King Seongjong, Queen Jeonghyeon, and their son King Jungjong, who ruled during the Joseon Dynasty between 1457 and 1544.
The tomb layout follows traditional Korean geomancy principles, incorporating T-shaped shrines and structures used for ceremonial purposes throughout the complex.
The site welcomes visitors daily except Mondays, with admission prices of 1,000 won for adults and direct access from Seolleung station on Lines 2 and Bundang.
King Jungjong's tomb stands alone in the eastern section after being relocated from Goyang to be closer to his father's resting place.
