ASEM Tower

ASEM Tower is a commercial high-rise building with 42 floors above ground and 4 basement levels, rising to approximately 177 meters and featuring glass and steel construction. The structure houses numerous office spaces connected by 31 elevators that move people between the many levels.

The building was constructed between 1997 and 2000 by three major companies - Daewoo Engineering, Samsung C&T, and Hyundai Engineering - and was created for the Third Asia-Europe Meeting. Its completion marked a time when South Korea was strengthening its presence in global economic forums.

The tower represents South Korea's role in international trade and brings together business interests from Asia and Europe. You can see this global connection reflected in its modern design and central location in the business district.

The building is located near exit 5 of Samseong Station on Seoul Subway Line 2, making arrival by public transit straightforward. The site is easy to reach on foot and well connected to the rest of the business district.

The Millennium Festival selected this tower as a symbol of the new millennium, illuminating the entire structure during celebrations on January 1, 2000. The lighting made the building a visible landmark in that worldwide celebration.
