Cheongdam Bridge

Cheongdam Bridge is a combined road and rail structure that spans the Han River, connecting Gwangjin and Gangnam districts in Seoul. The bridge is over 1,200 meters long with vehicle lanes on the upper level and railway tracks positioned underneath.

Construction of the bridge began in the early 1990s and was completed in the late 1990s, marking a major infrastructure milestone for Seoul. This dual-purpose project required significant investment and represented a new approach to connecting the city's districts.

The bridge connects two distinct districts and allows people to move between residential areas and business centers in their daily routines. It serves as a vital link for commuters who live and work across different parts of the city.

Pedestrians cannot use the bridge directly as it is reserved for vehicles and trains only. The best views are from nearby riverbanks or from other crossings where you can observe the full structure.
