Cheongdam Bridge, Combined road and rail bridge across Han River in Seoul, South Korea.
The 1,211-meter long structure connects the Gwangjin and Gangnam districts with vehicle lanes and dedicated railway tracks underneath.
The construction of the bridge started in December 1993 and reached completion on December 23, 1999, requiring an investment of 96.3 billion won.
The bridge provides access to the upscale neighborhoods of Seoul, linking residential areas with commercial centers and entertainment venues.
Line 7 of the Seoul Subway runs beneath the road section, while the upper deck forms part of the Dongbu Expressway network.
The engineering design makes it the first bridge in South Korea to incorporate both vehicular traffic above and train tracks below.
