Seoul Forest

Seoul Forest is a large urban park in Seongdong District with numerous trees and diverse habitats for animals, plants, and insects. The grounds feature distinct zones, including areas for butterflies and marsh plants, as well as an art park with exhibition spaces.

The site originated as a royal hunting forest and was later used as a water treatment facility before being transformed into a public park in the early 2000s. This conversion gave the location new purpose as a recreational space for the city.

The Cultural Art Park hosts exhibitions and performances that draw both locals and visitors throughout the year. People gather here for community events and cultural activities that reflect the park's role as a social meeting place.

The park is easily accessible by subway and admission is free, making it an affordable destination for everyone. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes since the grounds invite exploration and offer various paths for walking.

The park hosts more than 100 animal species and features an outdoor classroom where visitors can learn about nature. This educational approach sets it apart from other urban parks in the region.
