Modern and Contemporary Art Museum, Contemporary art museum in Byblos, Lebanon
The museum contains more than 400 sculptures and installations created by 90 artists across two exhibition halls covering 1,500 square meters of space.
The Modern and Contemporary Art Museum opened in 2013 in a former industrial complex that previously manufactured wax crayons and paper bags in Alita.
The museum collects and preserves Lebanese modern art through permanent exhibitions, yearly retrospectives, and documentation of national artistic achievements.
Visitors can reach the museum via the Qartaba exit from the coastal highway, with opening hours from Wednesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 16:00.
The Sculpture Hall organizes its collection based on materials used, while the Installation Hall provides space for contemporary artistic expressions.
