The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Renaissance house of worship in Kaunas Old Town with a rectangular layout divided by three pairs of pillars. The interior features cylindrical vaults decorated with rhombuses and star-shaped ribs.
Construction took place between 1624 and 1634 with financial backing from Alexander Masalski, a Minsk Voivode who purchased the land. This period shaped the development of urban religious architecture in the region.
The interior displays nine altars with wooden carvings and sculptures that reflect how religious architecture evolved in Lithuania. These handcrafted details reveal the artistic preferences of different periods.
The building sits at A. Jakšto Street 1 near Town Hall Square and is easily accessible on foot. Inside, visitors find informative displays explaining the architectural features.
The facade merges Renaissance and Gothic elements in an unconventional way, with four buttresses emphasizing the three-nave structure. The entrance itself follows an unusual design that sets it apart from other churches of the period.
