Museum dar Belghazi is a former private residence in Bouknadel near Salé that has been converted into a gallery space displaying Moroccan crafts and cultural objects. The building contains multiple rooms with collections of musical instruments from Andalusian and Berber regions, ancient weapons, traditional garments, carpets, jewelry, and hand-painted zellige tiles.
The museum was established in 1994 by the Belghazi family to preserve and display Moroccan crafts and traditions. The family spent years gathering these objects to safeguard a significant portion of the country's arts and cultural heritage for future generations.
The museum displays objects from the Jewish Moroccan community, reflecting their distinct cultural practices and heritage. These pieces show how different traditions coexisted and shaped the broader cultural identity of the country.
