Telouet Kasbah

The kasbah consists of multiple corridors leading to decorated rooms with stucco walls, geometric tile mosaics, and painted cedar wood ceilings.

From 1860, the Glaoui family constructed this stronghold near salt mines along caravan routes connecting Sahara through Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.

The architectural elements combine Moroccan and Berber influences through intricate decorative patterns, wooden doors, and traditional building techniques.

Located at 1800 meters altitude, visitors can access the kasbah through the P1506 road connecting to the main route between Marrakech and Ouarzazate.

Three hundred local artisans spent three years creating detailed decorative elements, including green ceramic tiles and cedar wood paintings throughout the structure.
