Kom Monastery, Serbian Orthodox monastery on Odrinska gora island, Cetinje, Montenegro.
Kom Monastery sits atop Odrin Hill with protective walls and two gates overlooking Lake Skadar and the mouth of the Crnojević River. The medieval complex includes the church structure and surrounding stone fortifications built on this elevated position.
The monastery was built between 1415 and 1427 when members of the noble Crnojević family funded its construction near Žabljak Crnojevića. Its founding occurred during a period when such religious complexes served as important centers in the region.
The monastery church holds fresco paintings from the late 15th century that survive nowhere else among the religious buildings around Lake Skadar. These artworks shape how the interior looks and reflect the skilled craftsmanship of that era.
The monastery is accessible only by boat across Lake Skadar, with boat trips available year-round. Walking access is not possible since the site occupies an island surrounded by water.
The monastery grounds were once covered with extensive vineyards and farmland that later vanished beneath Lake Skadar's waters. This transformation shows how natural changes completely reshaped the site's surroundings.
