Plaža Buljarica

Buljarica Beach extends along a lengthy coastline with a mixture of pebbles and soft sand sloping into the Adriatic Sea. Behind the bay, Mediterranean vegetation and dense forest areas rise up, framing the shore from behind.

The location grew from a small fishing harbor into a visitor destination over recent decades while keeping its natural bay appearance mostly unchanged. The shift from purely local use to seasonal tourism happened gradually.

The area reflects a lifestyle where locals balance fishing traditions with welcoming visitors into their homes and family-run eating places. People spend their time both in the water and along the shore, following the rhythm of the seasons and the sea.

You can reach this beach through the E-65 Adriatic Highway, which offers direct access from nearby towns and villages. The bay has both open and shaded areas among trees depending on your preference for sun or shelter.

The bay naturally divides into distinct sections, from a gradually sloping northern shore to rocky formations in the south. Each area offers its own experience depending on what you seek from a beach visit.
