Iztapasauria

Iztapasauria is a dinosaur theme park located within the Deportivo Santa Cruz Meyehualco sports center in Iztapalapa. The site features several animated dinosaur figures set within recreated prehistoric jungle environments for visitors to explore.

The park opened in 2021 and marked a revival of the older sports facility with new recreational offerings. This transformation brought a family-friendly attraction to the neighborhood.

The park was developed with guidance from paleontology experts to create accurate depictions of prehistoric creatures. Visitors encounter different species displayed in naturalistic settings that reflect ancient life.

Admission is free and the site has restrooms, food stalls, and resting areas for visitors. The park works well for families with children and offers open routes for leisurely walking.

The dinosaur figures are motion-activated and produce sounds when visitors pass by. This interaction makes the visit more lively and surprising than in traditional static displays.
