Museo del Fuego Nuevo

The museum features exhibits displaying artifacts discovered on the northern slope of Huizachtépetl, including ancient codex calendars and regional maps from 1580.

Founded in January 1998, the museum preserves archaeological findings from excavations conducted between 1997 and 1998 in the Cerro de la Estrella National Park.

The museum exhibits models of ancient lakes and displays dedicated to the Ceremony of the New Fire, a significant pre-Hispanic ritual.

Located at Parque Nacional Cerro de la Estrella, the museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 18:00 with free admission for all visitors.

The pyramid-shaped building design includes lateral staircases and stepped corridors that create a circular path around the structure.
