Parque Japón Nicaragua

Parque Japón Nicaragua is an urban park in Managua spanning about 8,000 square meters with natural landscape elements and multiple walking paths. The park contains replicas of significant geographical features within its designed green space.

The park opened in 2005 and marked an important moment in diplomatic relations between Japan and Nicaragua. The opening coincided with an anniversary of formal connections between the two nations.

The garden features a karesansui section with stone patterns representing water, along with traditional Japanese stone lanterns and wooden bridges that create an authentic garden design experience. Visitors walking through notice how these elements invite contemplation and quiet observation of the landscape.

The park is located on Miguel Obando y Bravo Avenue and connects major road routes in the area. Visitors will find accessible paths throughout the grounds for exploring the landscaped spaces.

The park was created through collaboration between the Japanese government and Managua's municipal authorities. This international partnership shaped the final design and remains visible in how the space was developed.
