Museum of the Land of Frankincense

The Museum of the Land of Frankincense contains multiple halls displaying ancient artifacts, traditional Omani boats, and detailed archaeological findings from the region.

The museum exhibits items from Al Baleed Archaeological Site, which was a main settlement in the Dhofar region from the 8th to 16th century.

The History Hall presents ancient manuscripts of the Quran, linguistic documents, and a letter attributed to Prophet Mohammed from the 8th century.

The facility opens twice daily except weekends, from 8 AM to 2 PM and 4 PM to 8 PM, with an entrance fee covering both museum and park access.

The Maritime Hall showcases wooden models of traditional vessels like Battil, Boom, Sambuq, and Ghanjah, alongside historical navigation instruments.
