Trump Tower Manila

Trump Tower Manila is a residential high-rise in Makati with 61 floors that rises 250 meters above the streets of the financial district. The facade consists of glass and visible internal balconies that give the building its characteristic external appearance.

Construction began in June 2012 with a budget of 150 million dollars, and the project reached completion in November 2017. The completion marked the arrival of a new style of residential tower in the financial district of Makati.

The name reflects global business connections, while the balconies visible through the glass facade show how residents can choose between enclosed indoor space and open air. The entrance lobby sits at Century City Mall and provides access to elevators leading to the upper residential floors. Shared facilities for residents are located on several floors and include a swimming pool, fitness area, and business center.

The facade uses light shelves and movable shading elements that automatically adjust according to the position of the sun, reducing energy consumption for cooling. This technical solution helps the building operate more efficiently in a tropical climate with high temperatures.
