Mingora

Mingora is a major city in Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, situated at 984 meters elevation along the Swat River. The city spreads across a wide valley as the third largest settlement in the province, mixing commercial areas, residential quarters, and farmland.

The region around this city held religious importance in ancient times and sheltered Buddhist sites reflecting early spiritual activity. Archaeological digs uncovered around 475 Indo-Aryan graves dating between 1520 and 170 BC, showing a long history of settlement.
