Head Balloki

Head Balloki is an irrigation barrage that spans the Ravi River and uses large steel gates to control water flow for farming areas. The structure channels water across several districts and supports agricultural irrigation on a significant scale throughout the region.

Construction of the barrage started in 1910 as part of a major irrigation development project that transformed Punjab's water management. The structure represented advanced engineering for its era and became a cornerstone of agricultural expansion in the region.
