Karachi Municipal Corporation Building

The stone building combines British colonial architecture with Islamic elements, featuring sandstone walls and a prominent clock tower at its center point.

Construction of this administrative center began in 1927 and concluded in 1930, with Scottish architect James Wynnes developing the design during British colonial rule.

The structure incorporates elements from Anglo-Mughal, Egyptian, and Spanish architectural traditions, reflecting the multicultural influences present in Karachi's built environment.

Located on M.A. Jinnah Road, the building contains 304 council member offices, the mayor's chambers, and administrative departments of the metropolitan corporation.

The Silver Jubilee Clock, added in 1935 to mark King George V's regional visit, displays an inscription along its perimeter in distinct Moorish dome styling.
