Mianwali District

Mianwali District is an administrative region spanning approximately 5,900 square kilometers in northwestern Punjab, positioned along the boundary with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The territory is divided into three administrative sections, with Mianwali city serving as the main administrative center.

The district was established in 1901, created from portions of Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan districts. It became integrated into Sargodha Division in 1961 following various administrative reorganizations.
