Raghagan Dam

Raghagan Dam is a concrete gravity structure in Bajaur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, measuring 80 meters long and 17 meters tall. The construction features a 23-meter-wide base and holds water for irrigation purposes across the surrounding agricultural areas.

Construction started in January 2013 as part of efforts to improve water management in the region. The project aimed to provide better irrigation systems for communities that had long depended on limited water resources.

The structure serves local farming communities by providing the water they need for irrigation and daily use. Visitors can observe how the reservoir shapes the landscape and supports agricultural life in the region.

The best time to visit is during the dry season when the surrounding paths are accessible and the reservoir is fully visible. Wear sturdy footwear and bring plenty of water, as the open landscape offers little shade.
