Sanok-Turka Mountains, Mountain range in Eastern Beskids, Poland and Ukraine.

The Sanok-Turka Mountains form a range in the Eastern Beskids along the Polish-Ukrainian border, extending between the San and Stryi river valleys. Multiple parallel ridges cut through the landscape, each separated by deep river corridors that shape the terrain.

The range served as a key passage for trade routes connecting northern and southern Europe in ancient times. Control of this territory shifted through centuries as different powers claimed the borderlands.

The mountains draw their names from the city of Sanok and the Ukrainian town of Turka, showing the shared Polish-Ukrainian culture of this border area. Locals and visitors recognize these place names as symbols of how the region has long brought two communities together.

The mountains offer trails suitable for different fitness levels, with the Polish side more easily accessible than the Ukrainian side. Spring through fall provides the best conditions for hiking, as winter weather and seasonal flooding can make access difficult.

The highest summit Magura Łomniańska sits just across the border on Ukrainian territory, making it unreachable for most visitors from the Polish side. This unusual geography means the true peak of the range remains out of reach for casual day hikers.
