Praia da Rocha Baixinha, Golden sand beach in Albufeira, Portugal
The beach extends over a kilometer in length with soft white sand and connects to the eastern end of Praia da Falésia.
The western section earned its local name 'Praia dos Tomates' from a farmer who sold tomatoes directly on the beach in past times.
The beach divides into two sections: Rocha Baixinha-Poente features red cliffs, while Rocha Baixinha-Nascente offers beachfront bars hosting regular sunset gatherings.
Visitors can reach the beach via bus number 8 from Albufeira station, with a journey time of 25 minutes, or park in the western area lot.
The cliffs gradually decrease in height from west to east, transforming from tall red formations into low dunes at the beach's eastern end.
