Fântânele-Cogealac Wind Farm, Wind farm in Constanța County, Romania
Fântânele-Cogealac is a large-scale wind power facility in southern Dobrudscha with hundreds of turbines spread across flat terrain. The turbines are interconnected and feed the generated power into Romania's electricity grid.
The project started in 2008 when a Czech energy company took it over and moved development forward. Over the following years, the facility was gradually expanded to increase power output.
