The Union Museum occupies a neoclassical palace featuring Renaissance and Baroque interior decorations, with gilded elements in the central hallway and acanthus-leaf door archways.
Between 1859 and 1862, the palace served as the residence of Alexandru Ioan Cuza, the first prince of the United Principalities who signed the declaration of permanent union.
The museum displays original artifacts, documents, and personal belongings of Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza across two floors, including the preserved princely apartments and political reform exhibits.
Located at Bulevardul Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt 1, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM throughout the year.
The palace witnessed the signing of the Union Committee founding act in 1856 and later became King Ferdinand's residence during World War I.
