Baia Turcească din Iași, Turkish bath heritage monument in Iași, Romania.
The neo-Moorish building displays intricate Islamic architectural details on its facade, with arches and stained glass windows filtering natural light inside.
Built between 1897 and 1898 by Italian architect Iginio Vignali, this structure replaced an older Turkish bath that deteriorated at the end of the 19th century.
From 1999 to 2006, the Turkish Bath hosted multiple exhibitions during the Periferic International Contemporary Art Biennial, connecting local and international artists.
Located at 16 G.M. Cantacuzino Street in Iași, the building underwent extensive restoration works starting in 2016 to adapt the space for artistic purposes.
During the 1980s, students frequented this bath for its hot water showers, which were scarce in university dormitories at that time.
