Description
Zvezdara Forest is a protected natural area on Zvezdara Hill that covers a large expanse with many types of trees and plants. It has several paths for walking and exploring that wind through dense woodland.
History
The forest began as a planting project in 1933, with major work taking place between 1948 and 1950 when local scouts and community groups participated. These early efforts formed the foundation of the woodland we see today.
Culture
The forest serves as a gathering place where neighbors walk and spend time together in nature. Schools and environmental groups use it to teach visitors about the local plants and animals found here.
