Crkva Sv. Nikole

Crkva Sv. Nikole is an Orthodox church in Novi Pazar featuring a basilica layout with three naves crowned by a dome and a western gallery. The eastern end displays a triple apse, and the interior space showcases intricate wooden details and religious imagery.

The church was constructed in 1871 with assistance from Macedonian craftsmen, particularly from the Debar region. This construction phase reflects late 19th century architectural practices of Balkan Orthodox communities.

The interior iconostasis created by the Djinovski family displays gilded floral patterns framing each religious image individually. This craftsmanship reflects how believers engage with saint images as part of their daily spiritual practice.

The building sits in the Varos-mala district of central Novi Pazar and remains active as a place of worship under the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Raska-Prizren. Visitors should observe respectful behavior and wear appropriate clothing when entering this functioning community space.
