South-Eastern Administrative Okrug

The South-Eastern Administrative Okrug spans 123.34 square kilometers within Moscow, containing twelve distinct districts including Lefortovo, Kuzminki, and Maryino.

Established on July 10, 1991, this administrative division emerged during Moscow's territorial restructuring following the dissolution of the Soviet administrative system.

The twelve districts of the okrug contain numerous educational institutions, community centers, and public spaces that serve a population of over 1.3 million residents.

Each district maintains administrative offices providing essential services, while the entire okrug connects to central Moscow through an extensive transportation network.

The district of Maryino within the okrug houses more than 206,000 residents, making it one of the most densely populated areas in this section of Moscow.
