Aksay, Administrative center in Rostov Oblast, Russia.
Aksay sits on the right bank of the Don River, positioned 18 kilometers northeast of Rostov-on-Don at an elevation of 80 meters.
The settlement emerged in 1570 as Ust-Aksayskaya, later known as Aksayskaya until 1957 when it received official town status under its current name.
The Museum Complex Customs Outpost presents exhibits of historical customs officers' daily routines, weaponry collections, antique maps, and traditional manuscripts.
The town functions as an industrial center connected to Rostov-on-Don, providing manufacturing facilities and employment opportunities for the local population of 41,969 residents.
The Military-Historical Complex at Mukhina Balka displays an extensive collection of Soviet and Russian military equipment alongside an underground command post.
