Ostankino Tower, Television tower in Moscow, Russia
The Ostankino Tower reaches a height of 540 meters with reinforced concrete structure, steel cables, and two observation platforms at different levels.
Construction of the tower began in 1963 and finished in 1967, marking the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution as the first structure over 500 meters.
The structure houses multimedia exhibitions about broadcasting history, technical innovations, and architectural achievements of Russian television and radio development through decades.
Visitors can access the observation decks from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with the open-air platform at 340 meters operating only during favorable weather conditions.
The tower includes a restaurant complex with rotating floors that complete a full turn every 40 minutes while offering views across the Moscow metropolitan area.
