Pavilion No 4 Kyrgyzstan, Federal cultural heritage site in Ostankinsky District, Russia.
Pavilion No 4 Kyrgyzstan is an exhibition building within the VDNKh complex, featuring a prominent facade with columns and ornamental details. The interior layout follows the classical Soviet exhibition design with central and side areas for displaying objects and information.
The pavilion was built in 1954 to represent the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic during the major Soviet exhibition era. Throughout the Soviet period, it served as a key venue for presenting the economic and cultural development of the Kyrgyz region.
The building displays Kyrgyz cultural elements through its architectural details, blending Soviet monumentality with Central Asian decorative patterns. These ornamental features and proportions reflect how the region was valued during the Soviet period.
The pavilion is located within the VDNKh grounds, most easily reached through the main entrances on Prospect Mira. Visitors should note that the entire exhibition grounds are very large, so comfortable footwear is recommended.
The building preserves rare examples of Soviet-era spatial design from the mid-20th century, most of which has been altered elsewhere. Original elements both inside and outside allow visitors today to view the design principles of that era directly.
