The monument was established in 1954 as part of the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy complex, replacing an earlier statue of Stalin after political changes.
The sculpture by P.P. Yatsino represents the Soviet monumental art style of the 1950s, incorporating elements of socialist realism in its composition and execution.
Visitors can access the monument daily through the main entrance of the exhibition complex, with the nearby metro station VDNKh providing convenient transportation.
The granite blocks forming the pedestal originally supported both Lenin and Stalin statues before being repurposed for this central monument in 1967.
