Pavilion No. 8 Young Naturalists at the VDNKh, Exhibition pavilion at VDNKh, Moscow, Russia
The white stone pavilion features a glass dome on the main building roof, glass conservatories on sides, and a colonnade at the entrance.
Built in 1954 by architects Grishin, Vitukhin, Goldin, Ignatov, Makarevich, and Polyansky to replace an earlier wooden structure from 1939.
Bronze busts of four young Soviet heroes who died during World War II stand at the entrance, funded by Pioneer organizations.
The pavilion contains exhibition halls, formerly housing agricultural demonstrations, technical workshops, a mini-zoo, and a meteorological station.
Interior decorations include relief sculptures depicting children tending to plants, calves, chickens, sheep, and geese in agricultural settings.
