Tsey is a ski resort in the North Caucasus mountains with slopes ranging from 1930 to 2380 meters in elevation across about 4 kilometers. The facility offers seven distinct runs for all skill levels, including two beginner slopes, three intermediate trails, and two advanced routes for experienced skiers.
The Tsey area is part of the North Ossetia State National Park and became a winter sports destination through the construction of two chairlifts. These infrastructure developments opened up skiing in this high mountain region.
A traditional wooden shrine called Rekom Sanctuary sits near the ski slopes and honors Ossetian beliefs. Visitors passing through the base area can see this sacred structure and learn about the customs of the people who live in these mountains.
