Petrovsky Park, Metro station in Aeroport District, Russia.
Petrovsky Park is a metro station in Moscow's Aeroport District, located on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line. The station has a central island platform with a track on each side and sits roughly 80 feet (25 meters) underground.
The station opened on February 26, 2018, as one of the first five stations on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line. That opening marked the start of a broader effort to extend Moscow's metro into its northern districts.
The walls and columns are lined with pale marble panels that echo the style of classical palace architecture. Tree silhouettes are carved into the tiling, a nod to the nearby park the station takes its name from.
A transfer passage connects this station directly to Dinamo on the Zamoskvoretskaya line, so switching lines does not require going outside. Several exits lead to both sides of Leningradsky Prospekt, which helps with orientation once you leave the station.
The Bolshaya Koltsevaya line that serves this station forms a ring connecting several radial lines without passing through the city center. This means a traveler can switch between multiple lines at this stop without needing to travel inward first.
