Su-Uchan waterfall

Su-Uchan is a waterfall in the Crimean Mountains that cascades down a rocky slope in stages. The water drops dramatically over layers of stone, creating a impressive display of flowing water visible from the surrounding forest.

The name comes from Crimean Tatar words referring to water in motion from above. This designation has been used for a long time and shaped how local people understand and talk about this place.

The waterfall represents a central element in local nature preservation efforts, forming part of the protected Yalta Nature Reserve system.

The waterfall is reachable by walking through a forest path that starts from the nearest road. The trail is clearly marked and not difficult to walk, though it can become muddy after rain.

During winter months, the flowing water freezes and creates ice formations that coat the rock walls. These frozen structures develop only when temperatures drop to specific levels, transforming the waterfall into something entirely different.
