Dhzurla, Mountain waterfall in Crimean Mountains, Ukraine

Dhzurla is a mountain waterfall in the Crimean range with multiple cascading tiers that drop water down steep rocky slopes. The formation was created through thousands of years of erosion as the Dzhurla River carved through the stone.

The Dzhurla River shaped this waterfall over thousands of years through constant water movement and geological processes. The Crimean range itself formed millions of years ago and continues to define the appearance of this landscape today.

The name Dhzurla comes from traditional ways local people named natural landmarks in the Crimean region. This reflects how residents have long connected with the waterfalls as part of their surroundings.

The waterfall is best visited in spring when snowmelt from the mountains provides strong water flow. The hiking routes from the Alushta Municipality are easily accessible, but trails can become slippery during wet weather.

The waterfall cascades look completely different across seasons, transforming from rushing torrents in spring to gentle streams in summer. These seasonal changes mean each visit offers a different experience, showing how strongly weather and temperature shape this place.
