Walnut of Yuri Nikulin, Botanical natural monument near Luchistoye village, Crimea

The ancient walnut tree stands at the entrance to the Valley of Ghosts near Mount Demerdzhi, measuring 12 meters in height and 4.3 meters in circumference.

In 1966, during the filming of 'Kidnapping, Caucasian Style', actor Yuri Nikulin climbed this tree for a scene, leading to its subsequent naming after him.

The tree became a significant filming location for multiple Soviet movies, including the famous comedy scenes where Nikulin's character threw nuts at the protagonist.

Visitors can reach the tree by taking bus route 107 from Alushta to Luchistoye village and walking approximately 100 meters uphill to the entrance of Ghost Valley.

The 400-year-old walnut tree received official status as a botanical natural monument in 2011 after being restored by the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center.
